Wright Transportation was recently honored by the Alabama Trucking Association at the ATA’s Annual Fleet Safety Awards Banquet on March 22.
Victor Whatley of the ATA Work Comp Fund presented us with a 1st place award for general commodities combined (5 to 10 million miles) and a safety improvement award. These awards showcase our entire team’s commitment to safety and excellence! Trent Stone, our director of safety and personnel, accepted the awards on behalf of Wright Transportation.
Held each spring, ATA’s awards follow the American Trucking Associations’ criteria for fleet safety recognition and are judged by an independent panel of experts from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) who pore over complex safety stats and parameters based on miles operated within the state. All safety information is pulled from the previous calendar year, in this case, 2019-2020 — which is why they are referred to as the “2020 awards.”
